Speaking of which had been published on the AeroDesign Venezuela, an event which aims to certify by society SAE, never specify which is itself AeroDesign SAE competition. In its three editions, AeroDesign East, West and Brazil is an event that is professional engineers before moving on to the stage of post-graduate.
Caracas, 04/08/2010, Aeroblog .- AeroDesign competition is aimed at providing students engineering, pre-and post-graduate, an exercise that mimics the actual performance of engineering. This competition has been designed to show the kinds of situations that engineers face in the workplace. First of all is a design competition where students will be playing full exchange studies and commitments to reach the goal of design, finish and optimally will comply with the requirements of the mission, while restricted to the limitations of the configuration .
The importance of communication skills interpesonales is sometimes overlooked, but still written and oral skills are vital on-site engineering. To help teams to develop these skills, a high percentage of the punctuation of the equipment is intended for design report and oral presentation required in the competition.
The Aero Design consists of three types of competition-Regular, Open, and Micro. The regular class has the intention of being simpler than the open class, and consequently more accessible to novice equipment. Open class has fewer restrictions than the Regular, and thus open a longer potential solutions. Their lack of restrictions allows teams to pursue more complex aircraft configurations, and thus, encourage more creativity to meet mission requirements. The Micro Class teams have the requirement to make trade between two potentially serious conflicts of requirements, which is carrying the greatest burden of payment, while trying to get at the same time, the lower empty weight takeoff.
Note that Venezuela has been very active in SAE AeroDesign editions, with the Brazilian edition of this most populous compentent the Venezuelan team. The university has been more active and prominent participation has been the UNEFA, which from 2006 until this year has constantly sent teams to this compentent, this enthusiasm has reached such a point that last year's SAE East AeroDesign in Texas, No. 037, team competition, UNEF, won a special award for best design report delivered by representatives of the aviation company with a long tradition, Lockheed Martin.
