On April 12, 1961
Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, aboard the spacecraft Vostok 1, circled Earth for the first time.
addition, the April 12, 1961, conducted its first successful space shuttle mission from NASA, Columbia.
The date was established by decision of the International Aeronautical Federation

For many years the Soviet authorities had concealed that Gagarin jumped out of fear that is regarded as invalid the flight of Vostok-1, because according to some absurd rules of the International Aeronautical Federation, space mission only count as one in which the pilot landed with his ship.

Participation of Venezuela in FIDAE
Caracas, 25/03/2010, Aeroblog, p Rensa Aviamil / Martin Ustáriz .- On Tuesday March 23 was officially opened to the International Air and Space FIDAE (this year called FIDAE of Solidarity), since the income received during the test will be given to those affected by the earthquake to late February.
The Inauguration was done by the President of Chile , Mr. Sebastian Pinera, accompanied by the highest authorities Armed Forces of Chile.
FIDAE will feature nearly 420 companies from 39 countries, among which include: Argentina, Brazil, Russia, Israel, Czech Republic, Germany, New Zealand, Switzerland, Spain, USA, Korea and Venezuela, among others.
The great American air show held at the Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago de Chile and is open from 23 to 28 March.

The PRECURSOR , is an unmanned aircraft system with flight range of 90 minutes with a range of 90 to 110 km, reaching a top flight between 5 thousand feet at a maximum speed of 120 km / h, with a payload of 10kg, ideal for recognition services and SAR (search and rescue for its acronym in English).
